Beautiful birds
I owned, bred, raised, and trained pigeons with my father for years, but the Indian Fantails have always been my favorite. The fanned tails, feathered legs, and the way they'd strut around the cage make them look very regal. They're really friendly and I've never had one peck at me or anything before. We trained quite a few of them to come to us and land on our arms. They're easy to take care of, but you have to watch out for hawks and raccoons who will hunt them and they come in so many different colors. The only down side is that they're usually really expensive to buy. A few of ours came from an auction and cost $15-$20 per bird.
