Reptiles

For pet owners used to the familiarity of dogs and cats, reptiles might seem an unlikely and even intimidating pet choice. But lizards, snakes and turtles have an exotic beauty and grace and can make wonderful pets.

Pet reptiles come in a vast variety of shapes and sizes – ranging from small turtles to beautifully colored snakes and strange, primitive-looking lizards.  While some reptiles may be low-maintenance compared to many other pets, they all require carefully maintained habitats which provide just the right amounts of heat, light and humidity.  Also, carnivorous reptiles which require live feedings can be a challenge for some pet owners.
