Chihuahua Rescue & Referral

Chihuahua Rescue & Referral is a 100% volunteer organization dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and re-homing of Chihuahuas and Chihuahua mixes in the U.S. Pacific Northwest and British Columbia, Canada. We are also committed to educating the public about the importance of ethical and responsible pet ownership.


Although many of us have worked together in rescue for years, we formally came together in July 2005 as Chihuahua Rescue & Referral. Since that time, we have rescued over 450 dogs and gained Washington State non-profit status with Federal 501c3 status pending. We are also a BCSPCA approved rescue group and work in cooperation with US and Canadian Chihuahua Rescue and Transport.
