Teddy, the Sheltie Mix

Posted February 05, 2009 18:39
Teddy was part Sheltie, and when my parents brought him home as a puppy, he was a big fluffy ball of brown, white and black fur that made him look like a little teddy bear. It was easy to name him! He was a sweetheart of a dog and the perfect size for us. He loved to run around in our big back yard and often chased squirrels up the tree. Sometimes he watched out the kitchen window for a squirrel; if anyone said, "Teddy, where's the squirrel?" he ran around the kitchen, ran to the door, back to the window, back to the door. When someone opened the door for him, he headed straight for the tree, barking all the way, his fluffy tail flying in the wind like a proud flag! He was a great pet, companion, and definitely entertaining!
