Appearance
Details: The Cockatiel is native to Australia and is the smallest member of the Cockatoo family. Cockatiels are popular household pets, and are relatively easy to breed. As a caged bird, Cockatiels are second in popularity only to the Budgerigar.In its natural wild coloration the Cockatiel is mostly gray with a yellow face and orange patches over the ears. Adult female and juvenile Cockatiels will have less yellow on their face and duller orange patches. The Cockatiel can be found in a variety of color mutations including lutino, pied, cinnamon, and pearl.|
